Curtis Briggs was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and raised in Germany. After leaving school he studied journalism and theatre studies as well as business administration.

After an internship at ZDF as an Assistant Director for Florian Furtwängler, William Klein, Georg Moorse and others, he began his professional career collaborating on Eberhard Schoener’s German tour of “Bali-Agúng” (1976). This was followed by several record productions and the German tour of “Laser in Concert” with the group POLICE (1978). Followed by the 1st “Klassik-Rock-Nacht” for Bayerisches Fernsehen, Eurovision and a collaboration with the Alan Parsons Project. By 1985 he had also organised a number of other classical concerts, the 2nd “Klassik-Rock-Nacht” and the artistic redesign of the BMW Museum (1981) in association with Prof. Wilfried Minks and Eberhard Schoener. He worked as a music producer and consultant for the redesign of the Villeroy & Boch Museum, established the “Hit-Kalender-Hitservice” with Frank Laufenberg, produced “Video-Showtime” and produced the music for two episodes of “Tatort”. Since 1983 he has written lyrics (English) for Münchener Freiheit, Harold Faltermeyer, Maggie Reilly and others.

1984/1991 Music editing for SWF Fernsehen.

1984 to 1990: Show editing for the Bambi Awards. 1985: Music production for the Willy Bogner film “Fire & Ice”.

1987 to 1989: Music editing for ARD’s “Internationale Funkausstellung” in Berlin. Music editing and production of the Eurovision programme “Willkommen in München”.

1988: Music production for the international TV series “Blaues Blut” on ZDF.

1989: Production of environmental anthem “Yes, We Can” with Joe Cocker, Chris Thompson, Herbie Hancock, Chaka Khan, Jennifer Rush, Brian May, Michael McDonald and others. Appearance in Frank Elstner’s “Nase Vorn”.

1990 and 1991: Documentary series for Bayerisches Fernsehen entitled “Flusslandschaften”.

1990: Production and organisation of Verdi‘s “Messa da Requiem” with Ennoch zu Guttenberg for ARD.

1991: Production and direction of the Eurovision Gala for Peter Ustinov’s 70th birthday in Paris.

1992 Music production for the award-winning feature film “Der Rausschmeißer” for ZDF. Production and exhibition of the international art portfolio “Columbus – In Search of a New Tomorrow” with Michael Domberger and Dr Florian Langenscheidt. Conception for the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro with various artists including Roy Lichtenstein, Christo, Peter Ustinov, Sigmar Polke, Antonio Tapiés, Eduardo Chillida, Robert Mangold, Nam June Paik, Mimo Paladino and Hanne Darboven.

1993/ 1994 Initiator and technical consultant for SAT 1 “TV for Nature” week. Participation in the ARD production “Wir nehmen die Natur in Schutz”.

1994: Organisation of “Konzert für eine Heimat” (Mozart Requiem) in Lübeck.

1995 Production of the theme tune for ARD series “Verbotene Liebe” and the Song “Forbidden Love”.

1996 Music production on the feature film “Lapitch” for ProSieben. Music production for the first German IMAX film “Ski to the Max” by Willy Bogner. Exhibition in the Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland entitled “Natur?” featuring international contemporary artists.

1998/2000 Establishment of Artists for Nature in the WWF.

1999/2000: Design and realisation of the exhibition entitled “Images Beyond the Naked Eye”, a WWF exhibition on the theme of climate change featuring 26 international photographers.

2000: Design and realisation of the WWF Expo concerts with André Heller and Stefan Szczesny. Music production for the 26-part series “Lapitch the little Shoemaker”.

2001 Managing Director of Wildtrixx Media GmbH.

2002 Art and music consultant for the 70s Bogner Show.

2004 Design and direction of a series of major first-class galas such as Escada Hochzeit in Salzburg, Hermès Charity Gala at Nymphenburg Palace in Munich and the “Opernball” in Cologne.

2005 Event organisation of the opening of the Bugatti plant for the legendary VW Group subsidiary and presentation of the new Veyron at Molsheim in Strasbourg, France.

2006 Curtis Briggs won 1st and 2nd prize at the international song contest run by Škoda Auto with the titeld Song “Room for More”.

2010 Jahrmarkt der Eitelkeiten (Vanity Fair). The youth festival “Jahrmarkt der Eitelkeiten” took place in early September at Starnberger See in a historic Belgian Art Nouveau Spiegeltent accommodating 300 people.
